Johns Family Golf Day Brings Community Together at Scamander River

The annual Johns Family Golf Day was held on 22 November at the Scamander River Golf Club, bringing together the local community for a meaningful and enjoyable day on the greens.

A total of 83 players turned out under sunny skies, including Dan from the Rural Alive & Well (RAW) outreach team. While there were no hole-in-ones this year, the day was filled with great company, friendly competition and plenty of laughs.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, the event raised an incredible $3,633 for RAW, with all funds going directly toward supporting mental health and suicide prevention in rural communities. The day also featured drinks carts, a BBQ, raffles and prizes, adding to the fun and relaxed atmosphere.

A huge thank you goes to the Scamander River Golf Club for hosting the event, and to Annette and Andrew Johns for their continued support and dedication in making this annual day such a success.

The Johns Family Golf Day is held in loving memory of Murray Johns and remains a special occasion that brings people together to raise awareness, show support, and look out for one another.
