Since 2018 The Sheep Station Cup has been bringing together local Farmers from around the state for a vibrant charity golf day in Bothwell at Ratho Farm Golf Course.
The event was created by local Bothwell Farmers who had a desire to help raise funds for important community projects and organisations relevant to their community.
This year 238 golfers came together to raise funds for Rural Alive & Well, alongside the Bothwell Bunnies, Bothwell High School and Speak Up, Stay Chatty, who were all joint recipients of the total fundraising tally.
RAW was honoured to have received $10,000 from the charity event. This donation will go towards RAW youth engagement strategy, helping support the recently employed dedicated youth engagement worker early in 2023.
The RAW team loved being amongst the activities of the day, with one of the highlights for Julia was the silent auction, where others were bidding on things in other people's names without their knowledge.
That certainly brought a few laughs to the day.
RAW would sincerely like to thank the Sheep Station Cup President John Ramsay, along with the committee members Russell Fowler, Richard Ellis, Guy Ellis, James Downie, James Wicks, Will Bowden and Will Bignell.
Thankyou for helping to build a mentally healthy and resilient next generation.
