Robbie and Isabel grew up on a farm, and four years ago, they decided to start a fundraiser to support Rural Alive & Well (RAW). They teamed up with their cousins and began making sausage rolls to sell at the Landfall Farm Fresh Annual Lamb Sale.
Every year, they set up their stall at the sale. The smell of freshly baked sausage rolls drew people in, but what really made an impact was the community's willingness to support RAW. Isabel and Robbie noticed that people came not just for the food, but because they wanted to contribute to a good cause.
RAW loves this initiative because it helps create community and connection through the event. Food has a unique way of bringing people together, and the sausage roll fundraiser is a perfect example of this. It’s not just about raising funds; it’s about fostering a sense of togetherness and shared purpose among those who attend the sale.
The fundraiser became a regular part of the Lamb Sale. Robbie, Isabel and their cousins enjoyed seeing the familiar faces of those who returned each year, ready to support RAW through their purchase of sausage rolls. Over the years, the kids learned the value of community support and the importance of contributing to a cause they believed in.
